Malaysian Buddhist Academy (MyBA) is offering the Diploma in Buddhist Studies in collaboration with the Department of Pali & Buddhist Studies, University of Kelaniya (UoK), Sri Lanka.

This programme is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in learning and getting a better understanding of Buddhism.

The course will cover different aspects of Buddhism and their relevance to society and world today.

Entry Requirements

  • Pass in STPM or London A Level; or
  • Pass in GCE (General Certificate of Education) Advanced Level or its equivalent; or
  • Diploma, preferably in Buddhist Studies from a recognised university or institution

This course discusses the contents of the Śūraṅgama Sūtra compiled in the Taisho Tripitaka T0945, Vol.19. It is a discourse given by the Buddha explaining on the characteristics of the illusory mind versus the true mind, and also the true nature and phenomena of the five skandha manifested in the universe.
